The Restorer Discussion #2...

When Amelia started seeing the ghosts, her father taught her several rules for her life...
1. Never acknowledge the dead.
2. Never stray too far from hallowed ground.
3. Keep your distance from those who are haunted.
4. Never, ever tempt fate.

What did you think about the fact Amelia starts breaking these rules?

I don't know, I didn't really feel like the reprecussions of breaking the rules was obvious. I mean she broke every single one of them, and I wouldn't have expected ghosts to start flooding into her life, but it was the same two, and nothing really came of it. That aspect of the book was a little anti-climatic for me. I am DYING to know whats up with the transfer of energy when Devlin is in her house. Was that explained and I just missed it? It has something to do with the hallowed ground I'm sure...

Nope, nothing was explained about Devlin and the exchange of power...lots to still come on this avenue...I think that's book #3.

There is definitely a new darker energy in her life and i think that's where the rule-breaking comes in.

I have to agree with Amber...the consequences weren't obvious to me until the end.
